Facilitator Discussion Prompts
- Name it: “I’m feeling ___.” Where do you notice it in your body (0–10 intensity)?
- What happened: What was the trigger (event / thought / memory / cue) right before the feeling?
- Thought check: What story is your mind telling? Any all‑or‑nothing, mind‑reading, catastrophizing?
- Need underneath: What do you need right now (safety, respect, connection, rest, control, meaning)?
- Urge vs action: What is the urge? What action would help your long‑term goals?
- Coping menu: Pick 1 body skill + 1 mind skill + 1 connection skill you can do in the next 10 minutes.
- Plan: What’s one small step you’ll take before the next group?
Tip: Keep it brief (30–60 seconds each) and invite a “pass” option.
